Edges Extracted
Edges were extracted with multiple variance filters with different widths followed by a linear feature extraction method based on
local maximum convolution. Two images on the same row below contain the
edges extracted with the same combination of operator parameters from the two original
images, respectively. Some edges were extracted better with some
parameters than with others. But before experiments, it is hard to know
which set of parameters will lead to the best results. Results like these
can be combined and cleaned up for matching.
