Refined Edge Features
Edges extracted with five different sets of operator parameters, including the
three shown on a separate page, were or'ed together
to form the two images in the top row. After operation including
dilation/erosion, thinning and de-branching, refined edge features as shown in
the bottom row were obtained. Small pieces of features from each
individual set of parameters were merge into longer and more characteristic
feature, which will make the next step of feature matching easier and more
reliable.
