Quality Check
After one DEM is projected onto the other, the difference between corresponding
pixels from the two images was calculated in the
overlapping area, excluding the spots with missing data. With perfect
DEM's and flawless registration, the difference should be zero for all the
pixels. In this case, however, the original DEM's
from a radar system contain errors around minus to plus five meters. In
the figure below, the units are meters and pixel numbers, respectively.
